Di kantor saya ada koneksi internet via adsl speedy plus wifi. Apakah pada setiap pengguna bisa diatur pembagian bandwidth yg adil/rata shg tdk tjd sedot-menyedot bandwidth? sehingga walaupun ada beberapa client yg menggunakan IDM (internet download manager, dan sejenisnya) tetap tdk bisa seenaknya saja main sedot.

apabila hanya mengandalkan modem,jelas tidak bisa,harus masuk dulu ke sebuah PC yg tersedia bandwith management (biasa disebut dgn spesifikasi "server ")
pc tsb tidak harus powerfull tp mencukupi utk menjadi sentral layanan pembagian bandwith,soal OS atau aplikasi bisa dipilih mau jalan di linux atau jalan di win32.
maaf bung MAS, menyesal sekali di kantor saya belum memungkinkan utk menggunakan pc tersendiri sbg server. trs kalo menggunakan pc sesama client spt pc saya misalnya, bisa ndak?

pake VM aja bos jadi bisa diinstall os server aplikasi untuk manage bandwidth macem microtic atau EFW. Hanya saja untuk bisa VM dengan baik minimal speknya harus cukup biar gak ganggu hostnya kalo dipake kerja...
procie : c2D / AMD minimal dualcore atau lebih yang memiliki feature PAE VT/Vx
memory : minim 2Gb (untuk XP), 4gb adalah recomended saya dengan OS 64-bit (win 7)
lancard : harus ada 2 buah yg nanti dikonfig VM menjadi bridge dengan virtual network

The SoftPerfect Bandwidth Manager software consists of two major components: a core service that processes network traffic and enforces bandwidth restrictions and a user interface (GUI) used for configuration and monitoring.
